On April 3, Vilnius Town Hall became the meeting point for global fintech leaders during the "Baltic Fintech Days 2025" conference. Organized by Rockit, a center for financial technologies and sustainable innovation, in collaboration with Nordic Fintech Magazine, the event attracted over 1,000 participants from across the world – including representatives from the Nordics, Baltics, South Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Poland.

The event aimed to spotlight key trends, innovations, and visions shaping the future of the fintech sector. For the first time, the conference featured speakers and delegations from Asia, including Reuben Lim, Head of the Singapore Fintech Association, and representatives from South Korea’s Fintech Center – Taeyong Lee and Sung Kyun Son – marking a new phase of cooperation between the Baltic and Asian fintech ecosystems.

This year’s conference stood out with record-breaking scale: three dedicated stages hosted more than 120 speakers, 70 sessions, and over 3,000 minutes of curated content, representing around 300 companies globally.

The initiative symbolized an unprecedented regional collaboration, uniting the fintech communities and institutions of all three Baltic countries. Partners included Finance EstoniaLatvian Fintech AssociationNordic Fintech Magazine, and Rockit.

“This was much more than a conference,” said Lina Žemaitytė-Kirkman, CEO of Rockit. “Together with our partners from Nordic Fintech Magazine, we took on the challenge of uniting the fintech ecosystems of the Baltic states. This initiative revealed the immense potential of our region and our collective ambition to become a global fintech magnet. It sends a strong message to the international fintech community.”

She emphasizeses Rockit’s role as a driving force in Lithuania’s fintech ecosystem: “We are not just a physical space – we are a living community that connects innovators, ideas, and markets. We are proud to see the trust and support from our partners and community members as we continue our mission.”

The conference covered key themes shaping the financial sector, including financial inclusion, anti-money laundering, data management, and the application of artificial intelligence. Speakers explored how AI enables personalized services and how fintech solutions are increasingly integrated into other industries, allowing for seamless data and decision flow across sectors and borders.

Cybersecurity was also a central focus. “Cybersecurity is undoubtedly one of the most important topics in fintech today,” noted Žygeda Augonė, Head of Information Security at Swedbank and a panel participant. “The financial services ecosystem faces increasingly sophisticated threats – from cyberattacks to complex fraud schemes. It is critical to explore how advanced technologies are reshaping our approach, enabling not only faster responses but also proactive risk mitigation.”

The event was officially opened with a welcome from the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Lukas Savickas.

Looking ahead, the excitement continues as Baltic Fintech Days 2026 is set to take place in Riga. Next year’s edition will be just as impactful – if not even more ambitious – further strengthening cross-border collaboration and putting the Baltic region firmly on the global fintech map.
